Camellias are here!

I put on my old scarecrow vest and we went walking.

I've had this old Fall vest for well over 25 years now and it's sure held up well! LOL I have now packed it away until next Fall season---and looking for my "Christmasy" blouses and sweaters!

I spotted blooms by the old Tabernacle Baptist church.

Could it be??? No way!!?? The first camellias of the year??----yes!--it's time!

I love camellias and I'm always so glad to see them in bloom again!

I love the old bricks of this church

...........and the big red door, and the big tall windows.

are there trees growing way up there? LOL

Oh my! I'm sure thankful I don't have to carry groceries up THESE STAIRS!

I am glad I don't have to carry groceries up those stairs too!! Must still be warm there as you are in short sleeves.

I love camellias! They always remind me of the old Bette Davis movie "Now, Voyager" ... one of my favorites. I love that picture of you in front of the old church! I had a Christmas sweater for years that I finally had to stop wearing but I loved it so. Merry Christmas! xoxo

Loved 'our walk'! Now I'm with you about those stairs! I have trouble with stairs now and am so thankful we bought a one story home. You are so kind. My house doesn't look so neat all of the time. My living room is our formal living room. We have a little den and that is really where we live so I don't mess up the living room too much! Hope all is going well with you.

You are so amazing. Got Lily's package today. I sent you an email. I just can't thank you enough. Love this post...always something beautiful to see in your neck of the woods. Love your sweater vest too. I have an old Christmas sweater vest that is ancient, and I just wear it once a year. I guess it's still in style...Christmas never goes out of style! Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
