Lacey and Malcom at SEWE

What's this? Or should I say "who is " this?

"My name is LACEY!"
and what are you doing here today, Lacey?
"I'm collecting donations for a GOOD CAUSE!"
"And making new friends!"
****************************************
Lacey is absolutely adorable. I can tell how well trained she is. She is eight years old. Her owner tells me they have traveled from Georgia to be with us at SEWE. She says Lacey is a therapy dog who visits with people and she is also an agility champion.I would love to see her in action!
I'm pretty sure her owner said this is Lacey's pup---Malcom.
He is absolutely gorgeous too! He's here collecting donations as well.
And stealing some kisses!

I just loved getting to meet both of them!

Birds of Prey

It was a beautiful Sunday for the Birds of Prey Demonstration at SEWE today! Just look at that blue sky! It was nearing 80 degrees as well, a very hot day!

The birds have a pretty big blue sky to swoop and sail and frolic in today!....and away they go!

(below)  I think she was working with a vulture here

They arc and swoop and circle so quickly...they are so hard to get a picture of!
This is how they get the birds back..........

I think it looks like they are lassoing the birds (LOL), but I think they actually have bits of bugs/treats/food on the ropes they are swinging and the birds are trained to come to that.

The birds mind really well (when they WANT TO, LOL) and it is very entertaining to watch!

I thought I heard them say that the beautiful painting was being raffled off.

I will  have pictures of many more events later this week!
