Sunshine Tree

Sometime in the Fall every year the bright Cassia trees burst into bloom! I am always so happy to see them again. I first noticed them every year at Thanksgiving on Sullivan's Island there were these bright happy yellow trees in full bloom. I loved their color!

So I went researching and asking around and found out what they were. Every year since, I've been on the look-out for them starting around October.

There's this big bushy weedy shrub-like plant growing on this corner. I photograph it every year and always look for it. We were out walking and suddenly I saw it and I couldn't believe it but my purse matched the blooms this year! LOL So we dashed over and made pictures of it.
I never could identify this plant on the corner. Nobody seemed to know. This year it sure had gotten taller. About a month ago, I posted on my sidebar over there---"does anyone know what this mystery flower is?" I had commented many times "well for a WEED it sure does have beautiful flowers on it". All year long it stands there in a patch of weeds....until it blooms.

Last week I found out that  my "mystery" plant is a little baby Cassia Tree! The trees are so much bigger that it had just not occured to me that my mystery weed was indeed A TREE! LOL
It's getting bigger every year and more "tree like" I suppose. I am so glad it's there on that street corner in the city and I sure hope nobody else thinks it's a big weed and cuts it down!
Isn't it pretty? Street corner sunshine in the city.

Walking on a November Day

It was a beautiful day for a long walk so we set out to see what was blooming!

Isn't that pretty how they scattered the pumpkins on the steps?

Creeping Jenny, pansies, and cyclamen maybe?

Just look at their beautiful little faces!

Always glad to take y'all along for a walk with us!
Do I see lemons?

Love these! Think they are purple petunias?

I don't know what these tall purple flowers are, but we do have them growing in our yard. Wild. We don't plant them. Someone told me they were "swamp Iris".

Hot pink cyclamen, such a pretty color!

I think this is clematis vine! Our didn't grow this year, so we will try again next spring! Because I sure do love them!
Scarlet geraniums

We had a really pretty sunset
and this little kitty looked up at us and said "Its getting dark and it's time to go home!"
By then we were ready for more turkey left-overs, so that's what we did!
