a December outing

a day with our Fairy Granddaughter arrived!

love the red bow on the arch!

dressed up festive for this day with our Fairy Granddaughter!

love seeing the big beautiful camellias!

we have brought her here for a Christmas visit ever since she was a baby!--she always loved the "slick shiny Mirror" floors!

it is a beautiful hotel lobby....with a big pretty tree over at the other side

Love this hotel's ornate chandeliers!

Then we went over to Belmond Place, one of my favorite hotel lobbies. It's always decorated beautifully and the train exhibit is fun!

here it comes, around the corner!

They really added to their festivities this year, I read they had like 78 trees up! And this big one outside in the courtyard.

and then.................WHAT IS THAT??!----white flakes swirling, twirling down............

Yep.....it's snowing in Charleston! The kids here don't see snow here, so they were very excited!

There was holiday music, hot chocolate and cookies for all!

she likes to check out the "fancy dress shop windows"

then we stopped into an art gallery........

some beautiful paintings!

this was the big bright moon over the street

Beautiful and balmy night for an evening walk about....

inside this hotel courtyard you can look up and see----the sky!

We topped off our day with a walk through this old gate and tunnel.....into the bright lights! This is at the college, and they turn it on for the students every December, after the last exams are taken.

The light show is set to music and it's very entertaining. It's free and fun and it runs about every 20 minutes through the end of December I think.

...........and then it was time for something to eat and to call it a night!
