Boat on the pond

Some nights we wait till the sun sets to venture out for a walk.

Let's go walk around the pond!

Belvedere house-you are looking pretty on this summer night! (technically...it's still summer, right?!)

We spotted something REALLY BRIGHT over on the water on the pond!

It was this!

Some boys were out playing with their remote control boat. I thought it was pretty neat looking!

Beads tonight: big blue beads! Fairy Granddaughter calls these "ma-maw's blue PEARLS". LOL! I also had on a chunky necklace with big blue beads on it. I remember buying it at a Goodwill store about 20 years ago.

Here's hoping all your walks this week, or drives, or ANYTHING y'all have done, have been great! The past two days here we've had alot of rain and our downtown streets have flooded.

Hopefully it is not as hot and maybe the skitters are better? That remote boat was cute and I bet it is fun running it around. Belvedere is such a beautiful place and especially all lit up.

Okay, I will admit it....I love playing with remote control cars and I can say I would probably love a boat also. I was even thinking maybe Lily would like a remote car!! lol....I love beads. I love jewelry. I head right to the jewelry section when I go in a store. I don't need any but if I see something I want, I will get it...haha.

Tonight we are back at the ranch in the country! A watermelon cut fresh from the vine, a campfire and a soup and salad supper with wine before bed.....that's our Friday From Texas!

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
