By the water

We enjoy our city's Waterfront Park. There are about 8 acres of nice paths along the Harbour to stroll, pretty views, swings to relax in, and large clean cold fountains to wade and splash in, along with a nice pier and lots of grass and picnic areas.

this couple has the right idea!

a nice place to spend an evening and someone is nearly always playing music

kids love the fountains!

We like to watch all kinds of boats come and go!

Just the sound of the water is so cooling......

....and so is the light mist when it drifts your way.

this day it was a locket and a fun "statement" necklace

when the mosquitoes and "no-see-ums" come out, my hat goes ON!

a nice place to spend a summer evening!

  3. What a lovely place to spend time, Debbi! When we were kids we used to love to play in the sprinklers at the park...and I used to take my kids when they were small and we still lived in the city.

  4. I'm with you, just being near moving water helps a bunch!

You do a great job of being your city's ambassadress, they should pay you. And you asked if my granddaughters lived near, no but they're only 3 hours away now so that's much better than the long distance they were when we were in FL. Of course what I'd really like is if we could have a small 2nd home right next door to them with a gate in the fence between our two houses!

  5. That water looks so inviting. I would enjoy sitting in a swing near the water... AWESOME.

I always love to see what you are wearing... Does your sweet hubby take your pictures?

    Hugs,

  6. Water is like magic! Of all the pics you post - I like the ones of YOU best! The no-see-ums! Love that! I read that descripture first in Julie of the Wolves.
We are here at the ranch - near Waco - and there is very little water around here anywhere! Hoping and praying for a wet fall!

  7. Your photos say it all! I can see why you like it, Debbi -- it's a beautiful area and I'm sure during the summer in the south all the more inviting!
