Cotton fields and watermelons

 

Love seeing the farmer's fields during summertime, Everything grows so QUICKLY!

I always look forward to the COTTON....

AND I watch it like a hawk.....

There it is.......my first cotton bloom I've spied this summer!

the beautiful blooms turn purplish late in the day and fall off

the purple/pink flower wilts and falls off, leaving the round thing underneath...which turns into the cotton boll. These are harvested to make cotton.

When the fields are full of the actual fluffy white cotton and it looks like fields of snow, I'll make more pictures. It's even prettier then.

Growing all summer

Hot summer Sundays headed to church, brings out bare legs, summer sandals, HAIR UP, paint your toenails pretty,  and sun hat.

AFTER church, here I am holding my favorite plastic horse in my collection. LOL

Ive been collecting these for years, most are smaller but this is one of my big ones.

It's Little Joe's beautiful horse! LOL

Remember how I told y'all we've been watching "Bonanza" all spring and summer and how we love it?

Ben, Adam, Hoss, and Little Joe. 

now, I don't think this is an "official" Ponderosa play horse or anything, but it's black and white and close enough for ME. LOL

I think we're up to Season Five now. It's such a good old show.
