In a field between Charleston and Savannah there is a field of bright sunflowers.
I had to stop and get a few pictures of them!
Bright splashes of yellow bobbing and swaying in a green sea
Worth driving out there to see them if you like cheerful sunflowers!
I LOVE sunflower and am celebrating August with an abundance of them - decorating as much as I can!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I could use visiting a field of sunflowers right now! Those are just beautiful! I really enjoyed seeing the streets of Charleston in your last couple of posts. I love that alley. I would love to ride in one of those carriages through the streets too! Wonder if I can talk Poppy into visiting Charleston??
ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Spain, 70-73, while DH was in the US Navy, we would see fields of sunflowers and they were always wonderful to see.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the memory resurfacing and have a great week.

Great photos! We are blessed in having a similar field not too far from us. Brightens my day!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous sunflowers - I love them! I planted some but the critters ate them down to the ground within a day or two.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful flowers ♥

I love sunflowers! For about 20 years, I had a sunflower-theme kitchen. I probably had 100 different things sunflower...pictures, pottery, canisters, wallpaper border, etc. Stupid me, in 2014, I decided I wanted a different look, so I took all the sunflowers down, put up a new wallpaper border, and bought new stuff. Alas, in less than a year, I found myself wishing I hadn't done away with the sunflowers. I missed their bright cheery faces so much.
ReplyDeleteYour photo reminded me of that beautiful kitchen.
Blessings,
Patti
