Cool and Green and Shady
"Cool and Green and Shady"....pretty sure that's an old John Denver song.
Well this looks like a perfect spot to while away a hot summer afternoon and watch the storms move in with the refreshing rains, read that latest summer novel, and sip an ice cold sweet tea with lemon.
Their ferns did alot better than mine this year. Evidently they like the porch they've been placed on. Cant say that I blame them.
HI Debbi! Oh, I love the look of pretty healthy ferns hanging on a front porch! Thanks for popping in to see me. I found the little miniature Jadeite pieces online. I really don't remember where, I just typed in 'miniature Jadeite' and these came up! Be a sweetie, Shelia ;)
So pretty! There's something about ferns hanging on the porch that just makes me nostalgic. Looks like the perfect lace to sit and do some knitting. Hope you are enjoying your week!
I have ferns in our back yard area - rejects I planted and lo and behold, they live on outside while they were dying inside. This was years ago and yet they still thrive out there. Love that John Denver song. We can't go outside until after the sun goes down - it's hot in August in Texas.

The ferns are gorgeous. We used to have the all the time but by late July I couldn't keep them alive. So I am going to sit here and enjoy yours.

i think this is every woman's dream porch...
ReplyDeleteLove the big ole porch. It surely is a southern porch? We could have a wonderful ladies party on that porch
ReplyDeleteOh I love it! Like Janice said above, we could definitely have a lovely time there, as they say...come and sit for a spell? Wish I could!
ReplyDeleteTake care!

Ferns just belong on an old porch. And a wren always seems to build a nest in them!
ReplyDeleteWell, if it's not a John Denver song, it should be! What a great, restful spot! Love that lattice work and all green! Sigh!
