These gorgeous vines are swirled and twirled around the trees at the Rutledge pond. Does anyone know what these are? Are they clematis or mandevilla vines? Or something else?
I take pictures of them on sunny days...and on full-moon nights.
I think they are so pretty!
They look like roses to me. Very pretty!

All I can tell you is that they are not clementis. Beyond that... I don't know.
ReplyDeleteThey definitely look like roses - how gorgeous they are, such a bright color!
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure they are not Mandevilla. The bloom looks like roses. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey look like old fashioned roses to me too, Debbi! They look very much like some Rugosa varieties that I have growing in my yard.

It is very beautiful...no idea what it is but sounds like you've probably figured it out my friend. Thanks for writing and always showing your love to me. We are doing really well. Still no hiking yet but I hope we can soon. Hugs, Diane

ReplyDeleteI would say they are some kind of a rose...I have actually seen something that looked like these before...very pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour readers are so smart so I'll take their word that these are roses. Sure are pretty, even the glossy leaves.
ReplyDeleteDebbi, thanks for coming over to the Gypsy and visiting. You said you were behind but I think I am probably much more so! I've been looking down at this post and that gorgeous Rutledge house. I know you aren't feeling well and am sending get well greetings -- I admire that you post when really pushing it. I'll try to reply directly to your comment like usual but if you don't hear from me, know how much I appreciate your visit and hope you are on the mend by the time you read this.
