We came across this amazing big old pink house. I am so fascinated by it!
Its seen some hard times......
Three whole floors of mysteries and secrets!
I could photograph old houses like this all day!.....and sometimes DO....LOL
I wonder who lived there! Who built it! What year?
Even in it's disrepair......look at that workmanship! And detail!
Every crack and every chip tells a story...
The lock may keep us out in some ways but you cant lock our imaginations out.....
....participating with Judith in "MOSAIC MONDAY"............ (thank you Judith for hosting it!)
How sad, but it still quite pretty in its disrepair.
ReplyDeleteI agree...sad to see this stunning house in this condition...I can only imagine what it looked like when it was new.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet those walls could tell some stories. I'm wondering if there are records you could search to find out more about the house, it was certainly built with intricate architecture.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
What a shame to see such a beautiful house left to rot away :( I hope someone rescues it soemday!
ReplyDeleteOld houses always look like they have stories to tell. It is so sad to see them fall into reuin.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fascinating, and sad, series of photos!
ReplyDeleteThe house was once really beautiful and still has much charm.
What a wonderful house. Don't you wish sometimes that you had enough money to see something like that and just buy it and hire a contractor to come in and make it like new? *sigh* Then a decorator to come in ...yeah I know. Pie in the sky! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious old pink mansion! I love the architecture, too. They really don't make them like they used to. Thank you for sharing your photos. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteoooooo, it is soooooo beautiful!! can someone please scoop that baby up and give it the tlc (& $$$) it needs. they just don't build them like that anymore!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh i just love it!! it is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a grand home that must've been. Still is, just needs a little attention. Okay, a lot of attention. :) very cool!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so sad to me to see these beautiful old homes deteriorate. I always wonder about the history too ~ what were the people like, did they have kids, servants, were they happy?
ReplyDeleteDo you watch "Southern Charm" ? :) I always think of you when I see it. Just incredible to me that these young people have so much wealth and yet lead such inane lives. Of course, there *has* to be drama on these shows.
