Springtime in a Charleston garden
A few beautiful scarlet camellias still blooming! |
love the rusty bars on the windows of the house next door! |
Love this big old tree! Just think of all the tales it could tell........
Pretty seashells from the near-by beach! |
This home was built around 1770. I hope you enjoyed walking around the garden with me!
You had me at the tray of seashells...how beautiful! And you look lovely too! All happy for Spring! We've noticed Camellias are still blooming here and knock out roses are beautiful too. I saw some Amarylis today too. Love Spring flowers...and weather! I wanted to walk this afternoon but it's my day to volunteer at Hospice....so now I'm home and I'll just have coffee and visit with you! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI love walking around with you! Wish we could have stopped and visited for a spell on that black wrought iron bench! Perhaps have a glass of ice tea together! You look very dapper in that snazzy outfit complete with black umbrella! Love the fringed handbag!
ReplyDeleteOh- Look at all the green and flowers you have there already. We are still growing icicles here. Happy Spring to you- Charleston is just beautiful. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI always love going along on walks with you. So many pretty blooms there..still a little chilly here. We have plants and flowers in the greenhouse but won't take them out for at least another month, probably.
ReplyDelete1770, amazing! That tree is massive and you look very chic touring the garden. I love all the ferns surrounding the little water feature.
ReplyDeleteDebbi, What a fascinating place. I always love to walk with you thru your wonderful city. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit:) Don't think I have seen many camellias and they seem funny the way the middle is. Love the brick building.
