Hot Sunny Sunday

A busy Sunday in the city.............It's Fathers Day!

Men have pulled out their shorts and summer shirts and ladies have got out their pretty summer dresses and skirts and summer hats.

Lots of people out today, braving the heat.

My seahorse pendant, my cameo, tiny pearls, my starfish charm, and my Gypsy heart. (my first summer without her, it's HARD y'all---I miss her so)

Too hot to be outside, so we enjoyed a lazy day at home. Later on, Mr. Front Porch chose BBQ for his Fathers day supper.

I can sure see why your favorite alley is your favorite:) There is nothing like really good BBQ that is for sure.

It was HOT here too but we got out for a morning hike. And then crashed! lol I am SO ready for some good BBQ and we'll probably get some brisket at our favorite smokehouse this week. Tator salad and corn on the cob are my favorite sides! You look CUTE as usual! I love BLUE and wear it a lot...I have blue eyes! Hugs and hugs!

Hi, Looks like you had a great Father's Day..... Love your pretty skirt/outfit..... There's nothing better than going to church on Father's Day and then out for dinner and a nice walk.

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
