Welcome, Fall!

 Well HAPPY FALL, Y'ALL!!

looks like it's finally arrived, or actually around 8 pm tonight if we want to be technical, LOL!

We finally got our Fall decorations up inside and on our porches, so glad it's finally done. It took us quite a few days, we sure move SLOW now, ha ha. LOL

A look at some twisty limbs and sun dappled branches.....

(my ancestors are from Ireland, and my Great x 10 or so Grandma hails from Scotland, and she moved to Ireland to begin a family and new life!)

              I read alot of her books last summer, they were all great!

My new Fall magazines have arrived, I'm looking for a cool quiet evening to sit down with a stack of them. 

Has anyone been enjoying any new or old shows or movies/series to recommend?

Fall tv we've been enjoying:

First, this movie. Sally Field did a great job and it was a really good movie! We liked it. I guess it was a best seller book first, but I have not read it.

We are on Season 14 of Bonanza, our favorite. Its the very LAST season, I'm going to be so sad to see this one END!

Missing Hoss, one of our favorite characters, as he passed away before Season 14 filming began, I think. Adam left quite a few seasons ago. Ben and Little Joe are still there, as well as a few new characters.

 Including Mitch Vogel as Jamie and Tim Matheson as Griff. Tim is also "Doc" in the Virgin River series we watch on Netflix. So it's neat to see him so YOUNG and just starting out here on Bonanza.

I'm not sure, but Tim Matheson and maybe Mitch Vogel may be the only surviving cast members still with us today, all the rest have passed away. 

Now this one, The Way Home, (Netflix) is not one I would've thought I would be remotely interested in, it's about time travel, LOL. But it's a very good show and very interesting and the actors are great in their roles. I've always liked Andie MacDowell!

Every single one of them does a great job! We have finished Season 3, and are awaiting Season 4, the final one. Kinda hate to see this one end too.

We also watched the whole Season One of the "new" Little House on the Prairie.

Now it was good, and had good episodes, but you just cannot go into this expecting Little House on the Prairie, Ma and Pa, Michael Landon, "Half Pint" Melissa Gilbert and Mary, Nellie Olsen, etc. It is NOT LIKE THAT at all, so I'm surprised they even called it Little House on the Prairie. LOL

I tried to some pictures of the bright moon playing hide and seek with the clouds a few nights ago. My pictures didn't turn out too good but you can see the idea.

Looks like we'll have the big full Harvest Moon later this week?

Its coming up on pecan season here. Last year we didn't have much of a harvest AT ALL. Found this one a few days ago:

 The year before last, we had gallon bags and bags full, so many to share!
