Spring Swamp

 "It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold, when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade."  ......Charles Dickens

I tried to photograph the swamp down the road but it's hard to get good pictures because you cant get too close....alligators. LOL

time to go visit the ladies....

my name is Eagle {far left}

my name is Baby

It's Wisteria time here!

There are beautiful purple patches of it all over, high up in trees, on telephone poles, in ditches and on gates and bushes. It's so pretty.

We have now turned a page to APRIL. Hope your week is going great so far!

  1. I swear, Debbi---your EAGLE is just like looking into a real-love-puren-T EAGLE's eye. That baleful stare combined with the clear wisdom and the taking your measure---perfect.

    Girl, you better keep your cute Boots outa them GATORS!! We have bayous all around our "place"way down in Mississippi, but the only one I've ever seen on foot was crossing the road way over almost to the Louisiana line---probably been over stirrin' up trouble amongst the beaver dams and cut-offs and standing water of the Delta.

    We're just tapering off a fabulously-loud storm---I went out one foot onto the front porch and videoed the flashes of lightning---they and the four local sirens continued about twenty minutes, and then a deluge that makes me think there might be a gator or two washed into the basement---there's a crack in the foundation and about every two years there's a breach that dampens the whole carpet. That line of storm paraded past our Mississippi son's house, and got all the way up here before it let up on them.

    I'd better get me to bed---promised to take a neighbor to take him for groceries tomorrow and he's a talker. You take care of you and stay my sweet faraway friend. I miss our correspondence, and if you're ever in the mood: ganjin042@gmail.com (that's a zero in there) Love to hear from you!!!
