It was Easter

A beautiful Easter Morning.......warm and sunny

and the scent of honeysuckle drifting all over!

Some Easter decorations:

I've had the little purple door church with bunnies for decades now and I still think it's so cute!

Also decorating the mantle was our daughter's first Easter book when she was little, a few soft bunnies, Easter eggs scattered about, and Amybelle and Tracie decked out in their Easter frocks.

Such a beautiful Easter at your lovely home!! I love how you are dressed so beautifully!! And your flowers/honeysuckle/Easter lily are all wonderful heralds of Easter and spring. We had tater salad and deviled eggs too, and still have some leftover, but I just can't eat any more. I love your Easter bonnet! I can't wear hats to church because I am in the choir, but we do have some ladies who wear such pretty ones. Thank you for sharing your lovely Easter with us. I enjoyed this visit so much.

Ah, the scent of honeysuckle. It grew on our farm when we lived in Alabama... don't see it much here in Virginia. I miss it.

honeysuckle, one of my favorite scents. i purchased an air freshener today in the honeysuckle scent. it looks like you had a wonderful easter. i like your easter decorations and you look so pretty. have a lovely weekend!!

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
