fairy granddaughter comes a" visitin"

Before the weather turned chilly, Fairy Granddaughter came to see us!

We always have the ice bucket ready for her with her favorites, and new ones to try. She thinks that's a "big deal". LOL

It was a sunny and beautiful day and she wanted to take a walk

follow the old path by the forest:

Later she wanted to help me make the feed bowls. Here she is adding the finishing touches to the dog's supper bowls. She wanted to decorate hers "all pretty". LOL She arranged treats on the bowls. I make homemade dog food and have for years now.

This is my youngest baby--Rose. And she's HUNGRY!

Rose is keeping us well supplied with fresh eggs, as her sisters are in a hard molt and not laying.

the flock AND Fairy Granddaughter enjoyed watermelon!

We went out for our supper and it was really good, with lots of sweet tea, of course! LOL

We came back home for dessert- Lemon pie.

It sure was a good day!

Hope your week is going well. It's chilly here again, and I am once again enjoying "sweater weather".

Have your wrapped any presents yet? I am just starting.

Fun days with granddaughters are the best. My youngest granddaughter is 38 now. But, she's still fun.

OH, I am so happy to see that "Fairy Granddaughter" came for a nice visit. I can imagine that the two of you had so much fun feeding the chickens, etc. and just enjoying being together! I love seeing the pictures of you two walking together, and I love seeing Callie the cat claiming Fairy Granddaughter for herself. I love hearing from you and seeing you doing happy things!! Yes, it got chilly here again too. And no, I have not wrapped any presents yet. I am still trying to finish my shopping and get busy with my cards...I am struggling this year for some reason. Well, I struggle every year...but somehow it always gets done. LOL. Love you all!

i always think it is so wonderful when kids want to spend time with us. spend time outside and walk within nature and not sit inside and play video games. i love sweet tea, the sweeter the better. i would love to have chickens and fresh eggs everyday!!

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
