Merry Merry!

Some of our flowers are still in full bloom like our red cyclamens:

.......and our geraniums.

It's time to get ready for Christmas....here even the hens get their own wreath! LOL

the leaves fell, and Winter is upon us

time to get out my Christmas pins, I love sparkly pins...
 especially Christmas
ones!

Got myself some new Christmasy-red lipsticks!
The Wet and Wild one is a shiny lipgloss, and the "Red for Me" (maybelline) is a creamy lipstick. Both are a good holiday red. I also use them together.
got  me few new nail polishes too....the green one is perfect for the holidays!

tried these cheese straws and they ARE SO GOOD!

got these pretty little plates at the thrift store, aren't they pretty?

Time to deck the  halls!! (and the walls, and the windows, and the mantles, and everything else! LOL)

my reindeer collection:
I add a new one each year. This year's is the third from the right....white with gold horns. He is soft and furry!

Kitchen fireplace has a greens and fruit theme

December is full of rolls of papers, pretty ribbons and many presents. These are bright pages from a few children's books I tucked into a friend's Christmas box--books for her Grandchildren.

And heres the sweet little picnic basket set for Fairy Granddaughter and her dolls. There are tiny china plates and cups, and a teapot, and shiny spoons.

Wrapping up books for Fairy Granddaughter.

She is still enjoying the "American Girl" books and dolls and accessories.

And I couldn't resist this pretty red and green necklace with the big beads for her.
December has been full of wrapping papers:

..........and tape and bows, signing Christmas cards and getting them addressed,  and prettily wrapped presents!

and stacks
of boxes, ready to ship out to faraway places!

Nobody sold Christmas stickers this year!......so I improvised with sticky gift tags, LOL!!
Also in December we gathered greens, and I made these baskets. I put the greens, pine cones, red berries, and Christmas lights in them.
I made them for the night, but they sparkle real pretty in the sun during the daytime.

And we gathered the rest of the end of the summer's harvest.

Had a little "photo shoot" with my dolls and their new dresses.

this dress is for Fairy Granddaughter's doll--I just love the pretty print.

and my dolls Tracie and Amybelle both got blue dresses this year

they are happy to "model" their dresses for the you!
December is a great time to read or re-read this amazing little book by Marjorie Holmes. After all, that is why we have Christmas. It's a real old book.
And this weekend look who came to visit us! This was our first sighting of a bluebird here, and I was so so glad to see it! It looked to be a very young male, and there were a couple others fluttering about with him.

He was splashing and splattering all over, really enjoying the bath!!

Soon as he was done, this Cardinal showed up.
I do hope your December is going great, and Christmas is now just a few days away.....please enjoy and have a safe healthy and happy one!

  2. Oh my goodness Debbi, this is all so wonderful! I love the bluebirds and Cardinal. I am so happy you are enjoying country life! Your greens and lights and pretties are all so wonderful. And Of course Tracie and Amybelle are beautifully dressed. I am still waiting for Lily Grace to open the rest of her gifts...We will probably wait now for Christmas because that will make her day even more fun, and I am too busy to do anything else right now, so she is patiently waiting. LOL. I love seeing you in your pretty outfit. Love the white boots! And your lipsticks are festive! As are the fingernail polishes. You are so amazing and fun. I don't know how you manage to do so much. Thank you for being a very special friend indeed. Love you, and Pray you and hubby and family have a blessed and beautiful Christmas.
