My boat

Here's my boat!

Isn't she a BEAUTY?!

YOU KNOW HOW I LOVE THE ORCAS!

NOPE, she's not really MINE..........HA HA LOL. Not any more than "my magnolia" is MY magnolia........she's over in the park so everyone can enjoy her! But I jokingly call her "my magnolia" because she's the very first one I go check each spring to see if the blooms are out yet. So....when I spotted this boat named "Orca" I've been jokingly been calling her "my boat" ever since. LOL

I got this lovely book below for a birthday present for a friend....wanted to share a few of the gorgeous pictures from it!

The actual pictures are VERY MUCH prettier than my own pictures here!

Summer reading. I find lots and lots of great books from the pages of Woman's World magazine, they show a few each week.

(below) goodies from our garden (well, not the "mater" --this one came from the grocery.) Our "maters" are all done. Our peppers are coming in! Also carrots and onions.

LOVE your boat! LOL. It would be fun to go sailing on it, if we knew how! LOL. And look at those vegies from your own garden! What fun! The stories/books all look interesting, but I don't think I've read any of them that I could see. I've kind of gotten off my reading muse. Can't seem to get back into it right now. Maybe in the winter on those "long winter nights". LOL. Wonderful to hear from you again. Take care and don't overdo it. You know what I'm talking about. :)

I have read several of Danielle Steel's books! Summer has probably read every single one of them!

i no longer dream about having a boat, we had one and it's not really that much fun. best 2 days...the day we bought it and the day we sold it, they are better to dream about!! i am still getting tomatoes, i did not plant peppers this year!!

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
