The light display goes as soon as final exams are completed and over and the students enjoy it before it opens to the public in December.
This is what it looks like as you enter:
I think it's been going for a few years, but we just discovered it last year.
The lights are set to music..popular songs as well as Christmas carols. It's so fun to watch!
There are long icicle type white lights hanging down from the big old live oaks and the dancing lights are on the big columns of Randolph Hall.
I read that there are close to 50,000 LED lights used for the display!
the first song is "you're a mean one, Mr. Grinch"! |
It's worth going to enjoy if you are local or visiting our city. It runs every night through December, from 6 to 9 p.m. Shows are every half hour or so I think.
Enjoy!
Sounds like fun Debbi. I did not see any light shows other than TV. Trying to get Ted to drive me into town to see lights. LOL Hope you are excited about Christmas. Wishing you the merriest and a Happy New Year. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
