Ice Blocks

I also collect these heavy clear chunks of glass! (lucite paperweights maybe?! LOL)

I like this picture because it looks like this angel is standing right at the church door, ready to go in!

so far I have five, with various scenes like angel, cherub, ocean creatures, etc.

When you hold them up to view, the scenes appear to be "floating" inside the glass.

I got this sheer vintage blouse about 15 years ago at a thrift shop. It was vintage then.....it's EXTRA VINTAGE NOW! LOL I have always loved the creamy color, the fluffy wrists, and the ruffles that spill down the front. It also has pretty lace on it (which didn't photograph very well here) and just about every time I wear it a lady will come up to me and say "oh I love that pretty blouse and the lace on it".

I loved it!!This one was great too, I love all Hazel's historical novels. I just discovered her this summer. I finished the Savoy one just a few nights ago.

.........and now I'm reading this one..........so far it's great!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and great weather! It's chilly here (60s-70s) and I do enjoy seeing the pretty pictures of the frost and snow some of y'all have!
Has anyone dug out Christmas boxes yet!!?

Debbi, That is a nice thing to collect. I like the angel the best. Pretty blouse. I have a few blouses, that I just wear as a light weight jacket. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I've never seen these blocks before, very pretty! And that truly is a lovely blouse! I love vintage clothing. I've never read the Gaynor books, something else for my library list! I've been rereading my collection of Margaret Maron mystery books. I get started on one author and want to go all the way through the series.

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
