Big Buck moon and rainy days

I love our crepe myrtle tree, but they sure MAKE A BIG MESS. LOL

It's pretty much done blooming now.

Did y'all see last night's big Buck Moon? It was so gorgeous!

My pictures don't do it justice.....but it was a big glowing orange ball. It looked like a carved "punkin".

I read it's called that because it's time for the young bucks to start growing their antlers!

I love it when they come out, they are so gentle and beautiful. They come out like clockwork every evening.

Look at that rainbow and the sweet deer. I took a photo a night or two before it was full...haha! But it DID look so gorgeous! I should post my 'almost' full moon! lol Love you my friend, Diane

Oh, I LOVE the DEER!!! So sweet and peaceful (unless they are eating your plants! LOL). And the moon is gorgeous. I need to remember to look tonight. It's been reallly cloudy at night lately, so I couldn't see it. Hooray for your rain! We are not getting enough and it really hurts! Your crepe myrtle and fern pictures are beautiful. OH, and the RAINBOW!! It's gorgeous!!!! So happy to see you here again. Take care my friend. Love ya bunches.

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
