Come In!
I had to photograph this amazing old door knob!
The purple glass one below was also so beautiful, I only wish my photo had turned out better, I will try to go back and get a clear one soon.
Can you just imagine the history these old doorknobs have seen?!
Always love old doorknobs. Back in the Victorian era builders never forgot the little details, even doorknobs were considered in the design. Our house has those old brown Bennington knobs, suitable for a plain old farmhouse. Happy Sunday!

and how many hands have wrapped themselves around them!! these are very old, i have 2 in my house that hang on the wall and hold scarves and things. i try not to put hats on them so they are not covered up!! have a fun sunday debbi!!!
ReplyDeletesuch an interesting old knob
ReplyDeleteI love old doorknobs too and have a couple of the clear glass doorknobs. I've never seen a purple glass one though.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love them, especially the colors. Great finds!
ReplyDeleteI just love seeing beauty in the little things that are taken for granted. These old door knobs are treasures of the past . . . history of the area. How many and who has passed through that door through the last 100 or more years? If walls (or door knobs) could only talk :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Connie :)
I do things like that too, Debbi. Nothing like cool old hardware to make a girl smile! Especially when it has a great shape or patina!
