Love to walk around the French Quarter in any type of weather or season!
Sun dappled tree shaded old bricks...
Makes you just want to peek inside this pretty gate, doesn't it? To see what's in there?
Here comes one of my favorite downtown horses!
the old Dock Street Theater:
My small foot and Mr. Front Porch's big foot. Or maybe I should re-word that?...my large foot and his larger foot?!! ha LOL
Busy people milling about.....strolling, exercising, grabbing a street side seat at one of our dozens of outdoor cafes and restaurants.......shoppers. Tourists, teens, dog walkers and history buffs. Its Saturday, tonight there will be dozens of late summer weddings at all the big old historic churches. Love to watch them all come out of the churches, in their beautiful gowns and with their fancy wedding parties, flowers clutched, vows said, hope in their eyes and love in their hearts.
What are y'all up to this weekend?
I thought each picture was my favorite until I saw the next one! I love the opera house and I, too, love to watch the wedding party exit breathlessly from the church!

ReplyDeleteSounds like you are having a blast in New Orleans! I love the old brick buildings and that gorgeous iron work. Such beautiful architecture. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet that you have a favorite downtown horse, Debbi. We watched a segment on the CBS Morning Show today about Charleston, I can't get enough of your lovely city.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lovely place to visit. In some places now they ban using horses like that as animal rights activist say it's inhumane. Seriously?
