Caitlyn

This is Caitlyn. She's a beautiful and sweet Charleston area dog who made national headlines one year ago.
A cruel and evil person taped her snout SHUT WITH TAPE and left her to DIE.

She was found, and rescued, and loved by kind people who helped her. A nice vet did her emergency surgery and saved her life. You can still see the scars on her snout but they have healed and she is strong and healthy now.

She is happy in her foster home and still learning how to cope with her fears and anxiety.....but she is making progress. They say she is sweet natured, loves children, and loves to play.

Bless her heart......look at that sweet face! What kind of cruel, low, mean, evil person could bring harm to a nice, loyal, and loving dog??

  1. Oh my, people can be so very cruel! That just breaks my heart. So glad she was rescued though. I don't even want to think about those (animal or human) who have not. God help us all!

Anyway, bless her sweet doggy heart. I'm so glad she's loved now.

  3. I am so glad she is recovering and happy in her foster home. I am sure there will be many who will want to give her the love she deserves. I also will refrain from giving my thoughts on that #%€## who did that to her.

  4. Debbi, what a sweet creature. I don't know how most of the abused animals in our society can look upon another human being with love, but they are able to overcome. It is amazing. We have had dogs, tied up, shot (wounded) then left without water or food to die. We have so many pit bulls that are abandoned at the shelter where my husband volunteers. Someone thinks it's smart to have a dog that they think makes them look like a tough guy, and they can mistreat by not teaching the dogs anything and then when they grow up and they can't take care of them anymore, they are just abandoned and abused.. But they always have a smile on their face and a kiss for the humans that rescue them.. I wish I could say in print what I think about the miserable thing that did that to the beautiful dog..Judy

  6. People can be so cruel...we adopted a forced rescue dog in January. The first three months were so difficult since she was so badly abused..but now she is our sweetheart. Wishing Caitlyn her furever home.

  7. I clicked on the link you gave – what a terrible story but it has a happy ending. I am pleased that they found the owner and charged him. We watch the Animal channel often and they show many dogs and other animals rescued in Texas. It is always impossible for me to believe that many people can be so cruel to animals – it is terrible. I am pleased you showed this beautiful dog on your post.
