Lovely amaryllis.Have a wonderful Christmas ~ FlowerLady
Your Amaryllis are lovely!!They are a wonderful flower to grow!! I have one blooming in my back yard in the spring that I repotted after the winter holiday and it died back!!! They are great to decorate around inside!!
I am growing some now...I so hoped I'd have pretty blooms by Christmas...I put it in a sunny window and the thing started blooming..got 6 large, gorgeous blooms, bright red and now they are beginning to die...still have about 4 blooms but may be gone before Christmas Eve. Next yr. I'll wait until about the 10th or so of Dec before buying one so I'll be sure to have blooms at Christmas.
What beautiful blooms! I had some years ago when I lived in Texas. Right now my Christmas cactus is blooming like crazy...just in time! Holiday hugs to you my friend, Diane
What a beautiful plant!! I have never grown them but I do grow paper whites every winter, those I LOVE. This reminded me to pick up my bulbs!!
Many years ago a co-worker gave each of us girls in the office an amaryllis for Christmas. After forcing it to bloom I brought it home and planted it in a pot. A year or so later it bloomed. It has multiplied and I've divided it numerous times and even so, I have blooms each year! I always get excited when the stalk with the blooms appears (usually just before Easter). Usually, I have four blossoms to a stalk and they are stunning! Mine is solid red.
