A Lowcountry Thanksgiving

First off.......the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, always a highlight of my Thanksgiving!
Love love love the gorgeous and classy Rockettes!

and the bands!

Toss it high!!---and then catch it!

our hosts this year:

Here come the balloons!

Seems like everybody AND THEIR DOGS were out on the beach on Thanksgiving!

It was a great day for it!

Surfers head out to catch the best wave

and fishermen try for a good catch!

This little tot enjoyed the mysteries of sand!
A relaxing sun filled day!

So  many people out enjoying the holiday!

Afterwards we had an amazing Thanksgiving feast!

Here's my new Pioneer Woman pitcher...isn't it pretty? I just love it!
Our menu:
Turkey
rolls (two kinds)
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Sweet potatoes
Stuffing
Pecan Pie
Chocolate Pie
I try to keep it real simple so we can be outside all day and I'm not tied to the kitchen!
Hope y'all had a real nice holiday with family!

  1. With all those people on the beach on Thanksgiving, I am wondering who was home cooking the dinner.

  2. Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, Debbi! You all certainly celebrate differently down your way than we Yanks do. Ha! We stayed inside by the fire all day.

  3. Your Thanksgiving held a lot of exciting things, most of which I never include in my holiday. It was different and looked like fun. I didn't know Pioneer Woman had a line of anything but cook books. Guess I am behind the times.
