I look forward to the first bright yellow splashes of these trees each Fall. Yesterday we saw a few still blooming, and here it is January.
I think they are so pretty! It took me quite awhile to figure out what they were and identify them.
We like to see old trucks around town.
found another one of the trees with the hanging bell shaped blooms.
I found my gray eyelet long kimono at Wal Mart. It's comfortable and goes with alot of outfits so I like it

I love the fences and old, old gates in front of these big townhouses. I call them the "Savannah townhouses" because they look so much like ones over in Savannah.
flowers tumbling through gates.....and sprouting up in sidewalk cracks!
and here are my EXCELLENT photos of when the two planets "met" in December! LOL!!
It's Friday again already and I hope everyone has a real nice weekend!
I have grown cassia before and had butterflies all around it. Thanks again for more pictures of your lovely town and surrounding areas. Have a great day and weekend ~ FlowerLady
ReplyDeleteWe have the cassia trees here to and they are pretty but can really make a mess and the yellow of the flower stains things. I like that hanging bell flower and your kimono:)
ReplyDeleteI think you'd like that app that identifies plants when you just hold your phone up to the plant you want the name of. Someone gave us a Christmas centerpiece that has three different plants in it. There was a poinsettia but it promptly died so I pulled it out. I'm no good with plants but they seem to be hanging on (I do give them water but they get no sun to speak of) and even thriving. So TG aimed his app at them and was able to find out what each are called, and we're going to re-pot each one and hope they continue to do well. I love your kimono and your whole outfit! xoxo
ReplyDeleteLots of lovely photos but I especially love that casia plant. I was so frustrated with the grand conjunction -- it was so cloudy I couldn't see it on the big day and the next, when the planets had separated, I think I got all of 10 seconds before a cloud moved in front of it -- not enough time to get camera from pocket to photograph! Well done!
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful photos of the cassia tree. Really pretty. And the Angel Trumpets are gorgeous...just don't smoke them as they are hallucinogenic! (and could be deadly). I enjoyed this today, and also your planet pictures. I had some interesting ones too. It was a great experience that we will never see again!
