Let's Go to the Fair!

Our annual Fair was recently and we enjoyed it!

Loved seeing the kids artwork! So many colorful and interesting pieces!

It was way down in the 60s, so I dressed in layers and kept WARM! Got to try out my new winter scarves. Loved 'em...they are soft as kitty cats.

The sights, the sounds, the colors, the yummy smells! make the Fair fun

And finally...this little child doesn't know who ELVIS is! Rest assured, I am quickly remedying that situation! Yes indeed...LOL

I haven't been to an old fashioned fair in the longest time! I can almost smell the food! I would love to have a funnel cake!
Love the kid's art, the animals, flowers and the colorful lights as the sky gets dark. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, a fair in December? That's cool. It looks like a good old fashioned one too. I always love the details on the carousel and a few of the other rides. Those elephant ears look delicious, what are they?

Ah yes, funnel cake. A favorite of mine. I love fairs but like Mildred and Gina..I have not been to one in ...in...ever so long!

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
