it was Mothers day

 A beautiful Mothers day morning:

eggs, cheese danish, and glazed doughnuts!

hot sweet creamy coffee

ready for Mothers day services at church

my old vintage pocketbook and my FAVORITE Pillow I found at an antique shop about this time last year

After church, it was a beautiful rainy day! I relaxed on the porch with a few good cups of hot coffee! I watched the rain and listened to the birds, it was so relaxing and lovely.
Then I fell asleep...

Resurrection ferns really show off when it rains!

rain on my newest rosebush, a present from a friend
Right now she has two buds, can't wait til she blooms!

Later that day, enjoying my Mothers day presents:

my new Dolly drinking cup and a new tiny rosebush. I do love the cup....it keep ice all day long and drinks COLD. The only part I don't like is it's "hand wash only".

a new bright green pocketbook, I love it! My old green one finally fell apart, LOL
 soft blueberry headband I wanted:
this bright and pretty measuring cup I just fell in love with!

Mr. Front Porch made me a delicious steak supper with baked 'taters and I sure enjoyed it. Along with cheesecake for dessert.

It was enjoyed with old movies:

fun fact---Myrna Loy played the Queen in the recent Netflix "The Crown" series, I'm pretty sure

I LOVED both of these movies!

Here I am with my new pocketbook yesterday because we went to town:

I enjoyed reading about everyone's Mothers days and hope your week is going great.

A hot spell has arrived her in full force, whew! Hot breezes are blowing and Mr. Front Porch is keeping everything and all the animals watered. The chickens get watermelon, it helps keep them hydrated.

Thanks for stopping by and Have a happy week!

Bells on Their Toes is one of LD's long time favorites. We read and reread the book and watch the movie often!
