Autumn Day

The flags were flying for the Veterans today in Charleston!

Thank you, Veterans, for your loyal service to our Country!
Well, it was a pretty Sunday yesterday for being out and about!--and alot of people were!
Dogs out with their people

and WHAT are these people doing?
They were looking at THIS!

I found a pretty car to pose by!

I wanted to take a walk around town and enjoy the sights and sounds of Fall and see what all was in bloom.

Lots of pretty blooms and vines on Rainbow Row!

Bright and colorful--love these sweet little pansies!

pretty purple blossoms

Anyone speak German? This is attention cat maybe? Guard cat? Anyone know? LOL

I love this simple and pretty window! and they have their windowboxes INSIDE!
this young lady is hurrying to have her Quinceanera pictures made!

........and my beautiful Gypsy had her birthday in Heaven. She would've been 20.

the chocolate cupcake for me.....the pink cookies for Bindie and Tammie
We had a lifetime together....her whole life....and a good part of mine. She went straight from her Mommy right into my arms.
My sweet girl......how I miss you.

  1. Loved my walk around town with you. Now if we were together and whoever owned that Corvette would let us drive it around - whew! What fun that would be. I'm sorry. I do understand the heartbreak of loosing one of our little pets. They bring us so much joy. Thinking of you and I always appreciate you stopping by to see me.

  2. What a lovely colorful post and I gotta say you match that car perfectly with your red and black! That Parrot is a hoot, I can see why it attracted so much attention, that would have been a first for me to see a parrot in costume or posing as a Dalmatian haha. I love celebrations, especially for those who served or is still serving our country they need recognition not just on Veterans Day but every day.
Thanks for visiting my blog and to answer your question, I did in fact get the rest of my quilt blocks and I'm just about finished with it. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

  3. You just never know what you will see on your walks, I mean a parrot with a dalmatian suit? That car is amazing and you look like you own it posing for a picture:) Love the cat and number tiles.

  4. I think that sign means "respect the cat" or "watch out for the cat". Love that car, especially the red interior!

  5. Thanks for taking me on your walk. I also would have enjoyed a ride in that classic car, but not with the top down – it’s too cold right now! We had a tiny bit of snow yesterday and it is still quite cold here in Nashville. It must have been cool your way too? I hear there was a record cold in Atlanta yesterday – am returning there soon. I know how you miss your Gypsy. Pets are so special and take our hearts – my late husband’s cat Cody that passed away last March came in my dream last night. I was sad when I woke up.
