Another Pink House

We came across this amazing big old pink house. I am so fascinated by it!
Its seen some hard times......

Three whole floors of mysteries and secrets!

I could photograph old houses like this all day!.....and sometimes DO....LOL

I wonder who lived there! Who built it! What year?

Even in it's disrepair......look at that workmanship! And detail!

Every crack and every chip tells a story...

The lock may keep us out in some ways but you cant lock our imaginations out.....

  1. How sad, but it still quite pretty in its disrepair.

  3. I'll bet those walls could tell some stories. I'm wondering if there are records you could search to find out more about the house, it was certainly built with intricate architecture.
Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.

  7. What a wonderful house. Don't you wish sometimes that you had enough money to see something like that and just buy it and hire a contractor to come in and make it like new? *sigh* Then a decorator to come in ...yeah I know. Pie in the sky! :)

  8. What a glorious old pink mansion! I love the architecture, too. They really don't make them like they used to. Thank you for sharing your photos. Have a great day!

  12. It's always so sad to me to see these beautiful old homes deteriorate. I always wonder about the history too ~ what were the people like, did they have kids, servants, were they happy?

Do you watch "Southern Charm" ? :) I always think of you when I see it. Just incredible to me that these young people have so much wealth and yet lead such inane lives. Of course, there *has* to be drama on these shows.
