Happy Hour Blue

This is our Happy Hour!

We like to walk about the gardens and look at the vegetables and I clip flowers for bouquets, and we feed and water chickens and animals.

Fancy outfit!! ha ha LOL

We like to watch TV when we come in and are so thankful to feel the cool air as we open the door to come back in!

We watch old series from the 1980s mostly, some from the 1970s. We loved "in the Heat of the Night", it was so good, we hated it to end.

Before that, we watched all the seasons of "Seventh Heaven". Loved that one too.

We just finished up Season 15 of Heartland.

And then we found that there is a new Season for Sweet Magnolias, so we are now watching the little town of Serenity and it's folks. (Season 3) It's a pretty good little show.

We like "Virgin River" too, but there are no new Seasons as yet.

What kind of summer t/v are y'all enjoying? Or do you watch less t/v in the summer?

You and I have similiar taste in show watching. I didn't get into 'Heartland' though. Maybe I didn't stick with it long enough. I'll be so glad when 'Virgin River' comes back on!!

We have never heard of Frostie but it looks rather refreshing. We have watched Virgin River, that is a good one!

My husband loves that Frostie soda. :-)

I've been trying not to watch as much TV lately, but my go-to shows are Friends and British cooking shows.

Some weeks ago my boyfriend broke up with me due to some issues.

Simply idyllic ... from the Frosties to the vintage TV shows! We are swimming a lot, and doing some planning as a new grandbaby is due to arrive this week! Stay cool, Debbi! xoxo

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
