Sidewalk Blooms

Walking along, I noticed these blooms tenaciously growing right up out of cracks in the cement.

So I went in for a closer look and saw the delicate purple blossoms softly dancing in the city wind.

So amazing how such pretty little things can not only sprout right out of the sidewalks, but thrive and bloom.

These next ones were a totally different street and a different day. Still coming up out of city concrete...and just as pretty.

I do so enjoy coming up on sweet little surprises like this, don't you?

  1. These grow so easy and spread with wild abandon here in my gardens, we call them periwinkles.

  3. That's amazing! Things grow like crazy here in Florida too. I see your dolls in your sidebar...how sweet they are! Have you done a post that I missed? If not...introduce them to us soon! Hugs, Diane
