Palm Sunday

This week's big bright Pink Moon:

It was a beautiful Palm Sunday here

Trees greening up

The farmers have their crops out:

This farmer is rotating his crops...this was a cotton field last summer

This might be wheat, can't really tell

Spotted some beautiful purple Spiderwort blossoms! They are so pretty!

Afterwards we enjoyed a nice quiet day at home and did some gardening

Baby marigolds coming up

What a lovely tour of your interests and outings this brisk, cold morning!!! Was supposed to have a photo shoot today, but no Sun til next Tuesday, it seems. It has been bright and gorgeous for two weeks, so I've soaked up sunshine.

I see those WHITE GLOVES!!! The perfect Lady---white gloves in hand but NO WHITE SHOES TIL AFTER GOOD FRIDAY. I think the fasho folk would have had a revolt on their hands in the Fifties, if it has said AFTER EASTER, with the taboo on our pretty white Mary Janes or Patents or even SANDALS with our Easter dresses.

OH, I love this post so much, Debbi! I love seeing you all decked out in your Sunday best for Palm Sunday, hat, gloves and pearls! You are a beautiful lady!! (In every way!) I loved seeing the leaves on the trees and spiderwort (just like ours!) and the fields being prepared for planting/rotating crops! Your sweet 'tater vines are looking good! I really should plant a vegetable garden...but it would be so hard here with all this SAND. Dolly Parton really is a very special lady. I am sorry for her recent loss of her husband, but she is a gift that keeps on giving to our world. Happy Easter week to you and yours. Lily Grace sends her love.

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
