I got taken out for a delicious birthday supper. I had a delicious cold shrimp cocktail as well as fried clams, scallops, deviled crab and grouper.

and lots of sweet tea!

Its hot and sunny here and getting more and more humid, summer has arrived for sure.

OH NO!!!! I MISSED YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I didn't realize it was in May, and I just looked it up and I have it written down in my address book, and it was your anniversary too on the same day, right????? OH MY GOODNESS!! I am SO Sorry!!!!It's been a crazy month here, but still, I wish I had known/remembered. I am happy to see that you had a wonderful day, but still, I wish I had known. Please forgive this old girl. It's a lovely boon of this mysterious conversation box that I can see the HAPPY of your celebrations. I wish all the good and true and marvelous for you, sweet Friend.

We are the collateral recipients of all the charms of quite a hedge of Butterfly Bushes---our left-door neighbors have cultivated such a stately copse of them, they gently caress my car as I drive out, and smell fabulous. I make quite sure that my own Hedge Rose and Yew on the other side are absolutely a yard from the new neighbors' two immense trucks, for the finish on each is like that on a well-loved Camaro, and I already hold the family in high regard---we're immediate friends. But the Butterfly side---I wouldn't have it moved an inch---the gentle sweeps of those wee verbena-heads are so tenderly careful, and the monarch march of a season is something to see. We scarcely see each other except in Summer, and I consider each fragrant sweep of the car door a greeting by perfect plant proxy. HAPPY JUNE!!

happy birthday girlfriend!! you know kids these day celebrate the whole month...and mike had a girlfriend that celebrated her half birthday!! your birthday dinner sounds so yummy, they make the best sweet tea in the south!! pretty calendar!!

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
