Festive December walk

Hello friends--We're out for a leisurely winter stroll and hoping you'll join us as we look for holiday pretties and make pictures of them! Hope you brought your camera!
(below) this doorway was so pretty I knew I wanted to make pictures here!

I got a new black shawl with big red and pink roses on it and wore it the first time tonight.

Looking at the outfits in the shop windows....

That's pretty...love the animal print with the brown faux fur and the necklaces

A denim blouse covered with sparkly things that look like pins.....not really pins, but made to look like that!

a pretty scarf/shawl..........you know how I love my shawls!! LOL

BEADS tonight---my Mom's pearls,--mixed with pearls that little Fairy Granddaughter gave me for Christmas several years back, and my sparkly red and green and pearl Christmas tree pin.

If we walk a little I can show you the old Art Deco Riviera theater:

I think it opened in the 1930s!--so it's seen alot of history.

I love December walks and seeing all the pretty store displays, Christmas trees in homes, on balconies and porches, and all the bright lights sparkling in the winter air.

Debbi, What a wonderful walk. I loved seeing all the pretty sights. The old theater is adorable. I absolutely loved the pearls and pin you had on while out and about. i love seeing all the pretty decorations and store windows, all done up for christmas. i will miss them when they are gone!!

the white garland is beautiful as is your new shawl, you look beautiful!!!

It's so fun going on walks with you and seeing what you're wearing as you stroll. Man those Christmas decorations with the white garland and pink and blue bulbs are so pretty. Thats a clever denim blouse with the made to look pins, I really like it!!

Tonight's Micromoon--we watched it rise over the Battery tonight, it was red and orange

Skywatchers in Central, Mountain and Pacific time zones will get a view of the full moon tonight (Sept. 13) at 11:32 p.m., 10:32 p.m. and 9:32 p.m., respectively, while East Coasters will see the moon at its fullest at 12:32 a.m. on the 14th. Regardless of time zone, the moon will appear just a bit dimmer than usual (eerie!), because it will be at apogee, or its farthest distance from Earth. That means that the moon will appear about 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than when it is at its closest point to Earth, which is known as perigee. (Livescience.com)

LETS END KILLER WHALE CAPTIVITY!!

Please research the captive killer orcas that the SEAWORLD franchise holds captive. It is animal cruelty at it's worst. Those killer whales need to be FREE, NOT HELD CAPTIVE BY us humans and forced to do 'tricks' for our amusement. (and to make SEAWORLD a lot of money. ) Please go watch BLACKFISH when y'all have time okay? also read "Killer at Seaworld". You will learn so much and I doubt if you ever pay entrance fees to enter SEAWORLD or any of it's affiliate parks again.........because you will learn what the money really goes for........PROFIT. Their profit...........the poor whales gain nothing. But life captivity. Sad lonely lives in bathtub size enclosures where they cant even interact with their own pods and offspring normally. Many of them are so sick and die very painful deaths.The 'breeding' program is a joke. They are not even allowed to procreate in a natural and normal manner. The whales that were caught in the wild were taken from their pods and their mothers in a very cruel and inhumane fashion---it is heartbreaking. It's awful sad. Please research and then let me know what you think, okay? Whales are magnificent creatures, I love them. I tell everybody it's okay to love them and to want to go see them......but please go to areas where you can view them in the wild either from the beaches or cliffs or from boats. Not from cement swimming pools where they are mis-treated, gawked at, and forced to 'perform'. God created them and intended for them to exist in the seas! They really need to remain free........................
