Statues

"Hundreds of statues stand in eerie silence. Sunlight, shafting through the branches of ancient trees, glints on bronze and marble, while other statues are shaded, set in niches along ivy-covered brick walls." ....Nancy Rhyne

“As a sculptor sculpts a statue, an educator educates our future generation. Beauty depends on the creator.”

“True leaders are like statues, whether it rains or it shines, they never bend their necks to look backwards! They never run away from challenges!”

“Your life is a sculpture, every day chip away.”

I like Michelangelo's vision, 'I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free.”

  4. Hi, you stopped by my blog the other day and I thought I would pay you a visit too. Thank you! I'm just getting back into blogging, so still working out the kinks of it all. I enjoyed all of the statues. We have a couple in our yard, although they are in less then perfect condition. We enjoy yard art and I hope those who pass our home do as well. Again, Thank you for your visit, hope you get a chance to stop by again! Have a delightful day!

  5. What lovely photos of such interesting statues. When we go on one of our walks we visit a cemetery. Sitting on the lawn is a very old statue of an angel. It doesn't appear to be near a grave, just sitting in the lawn. It is quite worn as this cemetery has been around since the 1860's but it is still beautiful.
    Have a good weekend!
