Windows

Love the tall old windows of Charleston. Wait....what is that looking out at us?
??
She's little. And white. And delicate. Is it a fairy? An angel? A doll?

It looks like it's holding a cross? Is it a religious figurine? A saint? Does anyone know? It sure caught my attention!

Pretty window boxes

  1. I think it's an angel looking over us...how beautiful! I'm reading Beach Town this week too. I see it in your sidebar! Hugs!

  2. I think I see a tear in the eye of the figurine. Our thoughts are with the people of Charleston as they go through this awful time.

  4. I hope she is a watchful angel.

Those window boxes are beautifully planted. What are the tall plants in each corner?

  5. Hi Sweetie! It a figurine of a nurse..dressed in an old fashioned nurses uniform OR a nun from a certain "order" of nuns by her dress. They have different "habits" they wear from location to location. She is holding a large crucifix which is hanging by a cord. Hard to tell which. But definitely one or the other. I get the feeling it has to do with a hospital..one way or the other.
Interesting that it sits alone looking out.

  6. How mysterious! It does appear to be a nurse, but could it also be a princess wearing a crown? Intriguing! If you find out anything, be sure to post!

  7. So pretty, Debbi! I melt at the sight of flowers all nestled together in pretty wooden boxes, underneath windows, dotting old house and buildings. Thanks for sharing!

  8. I would guess it's a religious figure that watches over the house, but I have no idea really.
