"Good Dog, Carl!"

For those of you with children/grandchildren I'd love to recommend these books! They have gorgeous big color photos and cute storylines!  I have enjoyed reading them to our grandchildren!

The "CARL" books. Love em!!!

My library check out this week:

  1. How sweet! I love children's books, especially those with wonderful graphics like that. I'm not familiar with the author, but Carl looks like a huggable rottweiller! I used to have one of these dogs as a neighbor and he was a terrific pooch. Thank you for participating in the photo challenge!

  2. My girls loved the Carl books! And I've never read Judith Henry Wall, but I'll definitely try a couple of hers. I just went to Amazon and read a few synopsis and they sound great! I always read Jane Green's latest and Mary Higgins Clark is my must read mystery every year. Someone compared Judith Henry Wall to Barbara Delinsky and I've enjoyed some of her books as well, so thanks for the recommendation!

If it makes you feel any better, my bluebirds are gone. It's too darned COLD up here for them - still below freezing every day and night! I think they might have high-tailed it back to your area - right after I purchased meal works and birdhouses for the little buggers! haha Hopefully they'll return when (if) spring arrives here in New England!

  3. Fun. The nicest children's books are always the ones with beautiful illustrations. We'll have to find Carl at the library and see what the Little Miss thinks.

  4. It's been awhile since I've seen the adventures of Carl, but isn't he a sweetheart? A friend of mine has a Rott named Marv and he is a sweetheart too.

  6. These are new to me also. However, my one year old granddaughter is the first grandchild in our family in 21 years. Her little family has two dogs so I know she will soon enjoy these books. Thanks for sharing.
BTW, thanks for visiting I couldn't reply because your email shows up as no reply blogger. I am going to the parade. My family from Tennessee and Illinois will be here for a week beginning Thursday. It will be a fun time but we don't wander to River Street anymore. We either party at home and maybe eat on the south side.
    Have a blessed weekend, Ginger
